Established in 1988 as the Mississippi Small Farm Development Center, the Mississippi Small Farm and Agribusiness Center has a rich history of supporting small and limited-resource farmers, alternative enterprises, and agribusinesses. The center serves a largely underserved region of Mississippi, providing effective and efficient support to enhance agricultural sustainability and economic growth.
The center has built strong relationships with the agribusiness sector locally, nationally, and internationally. Moving forward, the Mississippi Small Farm and Agribusiness Center remains committed to advancing its mission by promoting, enhancing, and facilitating the development and growth of small farms, alternative enterprises, and agribusinesses throughout Mississippi. Through innovative programs, outreach, and research, the center will continue its legacy of service and impact.
